I want to line my driveway w/bulb flowers and my question is "is too late in the season?" I bought tulips in the container w/small sprouts.
Thank you.

these tulips were outside in their pots and the week ahead shows temps in the 60's and 70's during the day and no freezing temps at night so far. I am going to plant them and the driveway gets full sun so I am hoping for the best.
thanks for the responses.

If the danger of a frost is past but the ground still cold, it would be okay to put the tulips in the ground. You might want to put them in the garage on the floor for a night or two, and then let them sit outside (still in the pot that you bought them in) for a night or two.also. Does the driveway get full sun? Tulips need full sun. Did you get bone meal or bulb booster? It makes them grow better. Good luck and happy growing!

Tulips would have been plants in the fall for blooming now. However, Dalias go into the gound any time now, so go for it and enjoy.
