What the hell...What confuses me these days is how you can even love someone that is so physicallly, emotionally, mentally harming you! She needs to get out!

No, I promised myself a long time ago I would not be with a guy like that. Tell her that if she stays she may very well be putting her life at risk. If he truly was a good person and/or cared about her at all, he wouldn't say hurtful things to her, let alone hit her. Does she have any kids? If she does, she is allowing them to live in danger and teaching them situations like this are alright, and it isn't. I hope she gets out. Quickly.

She is considering staying? Perhaps she has no other place to go, and that is her only option. It's easy to criticize other people's actions when you don't know what is really going on. No one knows for sure what really goes on in someone elses marriage except the couple involved. Be there to listen and offer support, but don't tell her she is "nuts".

I think your friend has a self esteem problem. Otherwise she wouldn't be with someone that constantly puts her down. That being said, she needs to leave now before things get way out of hand. She will need her friends now to help her be strong.

I was in a relationship like that... it never gets better... it'll get worse until she has no friends, no life and no self esteem... the first time he hits her it's his fault... the second time he hits her it's hers... I wish I would have stood by that and not let it go on so long but I got out and she needs to do the same... ♥

Would I stay in this Marriage? Hell NO I would not. No one should be treated like that. Your friend is a Wife and Partner, not a damn doormat, or punching bag. Tell her to kick the di** Head to the curb.

She needs that "crazy" stuff in a mate, otherwise she won't have anything to fix. I'm sure she dated a good guy or two in her life, but she chased them away until she met this loser. Cause she loves him. Cause he needs some fixing, and she is a fixer. A match made in heaven.

Yeah she needs to leave but she probably doesn't have the self confidence or the courage too, she needs a helping hand. He's only going to get worse if he sees that he can do that to her and she'll stick around.

She needs to get out of that situation before things get worse. It will be hard for her to do, so be prepared to be there for her, but in the end she'll be safe and a happier person for doing so
