I've always had a light period, but now it's really heavy. What should I do at school? I can only leave once for the restroom. I don't want to talk to my mom about it!

how old are you? if you're in your teens (i suppose you are), its pretty normal. besides, can you describe how heavy your flow is? if the bleeding is profuse, then you should go to your doctor... if its not, then its pretty okay... if you're talking about having to change those thick sanitary pads every 3-4 hours then, it's fine. nothing to worry about...

by the way, i suggest you use those maternal pads or those overnight pads... they are thick and they are long so you dont to worry about stains... however, i suggest that you change your pads at least every 3-4 hours simply for hygenic purposes... if your teacher wont allow it then talk to your teacher privately and ask for exemptions... im sure your teacher is mature enough to understand the reason... and if yout teacher is a guy, trust me, he'll say yes =)

That happened to me a little while back. My normally super regular perfect period started getting really out of control and not so perfect. Try using a higher absorbency pad (like overnights) at school, and try talking to your teacher(s) about why you've got to leave. Just say you've got a woman's problem and you need to go take care of it every so often. If they don't let you out, they're being sexist, and you need to talk to the principle. One last thing, tell your mom, even if it feels really weird. She needs to know for those late night "MOM!! I NEED MORE PADS!!!!!" and so that she can be prepared if she needs to discuss it with your teacher/principle.

Sorry babe! I know it may be hard but You should talk to your mom and get into a docters appointment. You may have to get birth control to help with this problem. I knoe it is hard to talk to adults about this. I am 14 and have gone thruogh it all. I would talk to them and get this problem fixed.
