Okay, I don't meant to start another political catfight on here. I'm a middle-of-the-road kind of guy, so I don't presently prefer one side or the other. I really don't know why such a significant number of people in this country dislike Hillary Clinton. I don't think that it's because she is a woman. Maybe it's simply because of who her husband is? Some of the really hateful stuff I hear people spouting seems to go beyond your typical far-right ranting. But whenever I ask those people (or even the less angry people) no one is able to give me any clear reason. It always boils down to, "I don't know, I just don't like her."
So if we could have a serious, mature discussion about this, I'd appreciate it.

3. Okay, describing myself as "middle-of-the-road" is incorrect. Let's say I despise both parties equally for turning our country into an outright oligarchy. Corporations hold power over all of Congress. But I agree with some conservative views (fiscal responsibility (not the Bush Adim.), small government) and some Democratic views...

Because she is a strong woman and it threatens white male supremacy for her to be in power (taking from thier power). She opens the door for what they are scared of, losing power, losing the Good Ole Boy network.
Plus she is a Clinton. Republicans worst fear. Another candidate that threatens thier corporate buddies (in favor of the Clinton's corporate buddies) but also they set up a lot of programs to help the poor, they actually discuss issues with the Black Caucus (a real Republican fear).
Hillary is not good though, she is a pro-Israel, corporate, attorney who will be our Margret Thatcher. People seem to miss that.
The recent Congressional vote by the People of the US demanded New Populism, what we can now see we got is same old corporate Democrat bullshit.
So, people might hesitate on that level to vote for ole Hillary in 08.

I am all for a female president, however Hillary Clinton is not the right person for the job in my opinion. Lets look at her strength's and weaknesses:
Stregths: Wife of a former president. 2 time senator from New York. Has a law degree. People like her primarily because she has a strong personality.
Weaknesses: Has no management or executive position. Has not run a state or local government. She is divisive and may of her former co-workers have indicated that she has a very bad temper and this tends to be a bad way to make decisions. She has a questionable backgroud when it comes to legal papers just showing in in the white house.
In my opinion, she does not have the experience to run or be a CEO at a large business. What makes her qualified to run a country?

I think it is because she had the b@lls to be a First Lady to openly be a part of policy making. She also is a very strong woman and I dare say not many people would cross her.
I know I resented her after Bill Clinton's first election. I remember thinking I voted for him not for her.
Since then I have grown to respect her. She is the first woman that has ever made it to the point of even being considered as President.
I think people dislike her because she is a strong outspoken willful woman that dares to think she can make policy.
I have read that she is very intelligent and has an excellent education. She has raised a good child and she kept her marriage vows (for better or for worse).

The Clinton image has been forever tarnished by Bill's adventures. It is also not secret that the Clinton's have used dubious means to achieve their goals. Hillary has shown how fickle she is in making decisions and holding positions. She is a brilliant person but must face the facts that history will not be kind to her or Bill. Using HIS political connections she has made it this far but perhaps the rope has run out at last. I personally think she lacks the judgmental skills to do a good job. Her change in position on Iraq is one measure that distracts from her image.

I have an aversion to lying, stealing, cheating scum who stay with their lying, cheating, terrorist-freeing scum of a husband. I also have an aversion to people who have a death toll of over 35 people who have been very close to them.
Please note, this doesn't even mention her liberal-communist politics which I find truly reprehensible.
I recommend reading "The Truth About Hillary"... email me your addy and I'll send it to you, if you'll actually read it. There are several other books out there that are very informative about the Clintons and their lifestyle. One is "Because He Could" and another is "The Last Days" (might be "The Final Days" I can't remember right now).

I don't like her and I voted for her husband the first time. They are an embarrassment to this country and their behavior is that of a white trash hillbilly. She lies and will do anything to get elected. Let's start fresh and get a viable candidate that is both likable to the majority of Americans and who is competent to lead.

What clinched it for me was when she defiantly proclaimed: "I don't bake cookies" Most people have some experience with baking cookies, and this foolish statement only served to further alienate her as a snooty elitist in the minds of most people.
Cookies are yummy and comforting. Hillary is the opposite.

I also have a problem with a woman who would not only stand behind a cheating spouse but go as far as to destroy the reputations of woman who have accused her spouse of rape.
