Just wondering what the specific order is, so I want to know the smallest to largest memory names, then convert the size of the space to a smaller space, for example (i don't know the exact number) one Kilobyte= 1000 bytes or something like that.

1024 Bytes = 1 KB (kilobyte)

1024 KB = 1 MB (megabyte)

1024 MB = 1 GB (gigabyte)

1024 GB = 1 TB (terabyte)

A bit is a 1 or a 0. A byte is a sequence of 8 bits. A kilobyte is about 10^3 bytes (or 2^10 bytes), a megabyte is 10^6 (or 2^20) bytes, a gigabyte is roughly 10^9 bytes (or 2^30) and a terabyte is 10^12 bytes. The memory size goes as far as petabytes - 10^15 bytes.

1 bit = smallest item
4 bits = 1 nibble (Yes, this is real)
8 bits = 1 byte

'E' below means 10 TO THE POWER OF-----

kilobyte (kB) 10 x E3
megabyte (MB) 10 X E6
gigabyte (GB) 10 X E9
terabyte (TB) 10 X E12
petabyte (PB) 10 X E15
exabyte (EB) 10 X E18
zettabyte (ZB) 10 X E21
yottabyte (YB) 10 X E24

A gibibyte (a contraction of giga binary byte) is a unit of information or computer storage, abbreviated GiB.

1 gibibyte = 230 bytes = 1,073,741,824 bytes = 1,024 mebibytes

8 bits = 1 byte
2/4 bytes = 1 word (depends on computer system)
1024 bytes = 1 Kilobyte
and so on...
