Assuming the “Big Bang Theory” is true. We would need to take the origin (central point) for all time. Then time would be able to measure units and we’d be closer to time travel.
Think of “Time” as a tree trunk. When a tree is born, it has a small trunk. As the tree grows, a circle of rings is added to the tree’s trunk. Each year the tree is thicker. Now, when you cut the tree you can examine the “Tree Rings” to measure droughts, and fruitful years. The “Big Bang” theory indicates that we’re moving away from the center point (origin point) at a constant speed. So, in addition to manipulating time, we would need a clear understanding (a TRUE Map) of time and space. Without this, we may be able to travel back in time, but not have a place to land (we’d be in space) because we didn’t travel our physical being closer to the point of origin in harmony with time cordination.

Without a doubt we can travel into the (distant) future, predicted by Einsteins Special Theory of Relativity (time dilation effect as the subject approaches light velocity). Tests by astronauts orbiting the earth at 25,000 KPH using paired atomic clocks proved their clock was 4 minutes ahead of the stationary (earth) clock. Time travel into the past is as yet theory, but after the realization that we are in reality living in an 11 dimension universe (string theory coupled with "M" Space or parallel universe theory). Several theoretical physicists have offered possible methods of time travel into the past, but in fact all the subjects must by the very nature of time and paradox avoidance, end up in a parallel universe... stuck permanently, even when they travel back to the present. Sorry Toto, you're not in Kansas any more....

It is impossable to travel time. It is like a river forever flowing forward. I think it wold be better to not travel time for it wold create a series of paradoxes (problems if you dont know what that means). Time will move forward at the same speed forever. Have you any ideas of what would would break us from this river? I don't and niether do any of the scientists.

dangit...eric beat me to the punch.
yes, time travel is possible. Even as I type this, I am traveling forward in time.
Traveling backwards? Unless we can revise a law of physics, traveling backwards results in imaginary numbers (can't remember the equation exactly, though). Mathematically, it's impossible. Of course you never know what they may discover in 100 years.

Fact-based fiction that could in the future turn into reality.
According to Einstein's theory of relevance, if a body could travel faster than light, it would be able to freeze time.

Time travel is not a fiction. In order to moves there has to be a change from one location of space to the other ,you then have a distance to be traveled.
In order to travel that distance you have to invest travel time to reach your destination. Therefore it its impossible to to move without traveling in time.
The time of travel gets shorten if you move at a fast speed. and of course if you move at even faster speed like the speed of light you would get to you destination using almost no time at all, This is called the inverse of time dialtion.
