I have a PC game which seems to only support full-screen mode. Is there a way to "force" it to open in window-mode?
(It messes up my computer when i try switching out of full-screen mode while playing (ie, paused), if i dont actually exit...

It depends. Usually you can put a -w at the end of the shortcut's executeable to allow it to use Windowed mode, or you have to edit the .ini file or whatnot. You should call the game's tech support to see if it will or can, or do a keyword search for the name of your game and "windowed mode" (or "window mode). Good luck.

For *most* applications (at least the ones I have...) if you open them once and let them go through the agony of full screen, then do yer bit of reducing to window size (that little double rectangle upper right between the X and the underscore), then resizing the window to your liking (drag the sides and top and bottom, etc. etc.), then close the program, they'll make nice and remember what you did next time you open them again.

i play sims2 and if you hit the windows button on ur keyboard it goes back to the main screen/and/or the start menu comes up from the bar thing.

i tried reinstalling chrome too but it was fine for one day. again it sucks. i don't have any problem in iexplorer. Google chrome really sucks!
