What's the big deal about revealing your income? If you're rich I can see that you might not want to reveal it to people you do not know well. But if you are a working stiff who makes like $12.80 an hour, why not just come out and say it. The truth is we are curious about what others make. Why not satisfy that curiosity?

because it's non of any ones business. we live in a materialistic world and I am a material girl!! LOL! On a serious note, we feel we have to keep up with the "Jone's". My neighbor would come over my house bragging about how much he makes and how much money he has in his pockets. We have a very modest savings, and live a very middle class life style. It was so tacky discussing how much he has. When he knew we were on a different budget. I'm not interested in how much you make. I'd rather know what kind of person you are. My husband is a hard working blue collar man. I'm a stay at home mom and babysit for extra $$ here and there. I can feel where you are coming from. I think it's just a private matter for most.

Hi. I have an answer to your question.I come from a proud German stock and I have seen that in many families feel it is tabu and in very bad taste to mention money or the lack there of.In my family everything was disscussed except money. Sex, politics, religion, all very openly disgussed but money was VERBOTEN! It seems to be a widely held ethic in both of my family traditions which are centered in the Ohio valley area. PEACE.

Here is my analogy - the more salary you have, the less you fear people knowing it. In the same way, the more "male enhancement" you have, the less you care about who sees you in the locker room. Not trying to be gross or anything -- just think about it.
