I am from Sheridan, WY, where Chris' first album was made in a basement of a friend of mine. I was on KWYO radio in Sheridan in 1988 when his seventeenth album came out. The man is awesome.

A great Cowboy who kept true to his self and his music. He created some of the best songs about Western life, its culture and its wonderful people. I really miss hearing songs like "Ain't no place for a country boy", "Melodies and Memories", "Western Skies", "Rusty Spurs", and "Time". We need to hear more authentic music like that today.
