It's probably the name of a band or singer which is also the name of a part of the body, but with the letter 'P' (that's where the veg part comes in, as in 'pea') knocked off.
Unless the 'a veg' bit relates to Suzanne Vega? But I would think it's more likely the first, judging by the clue.
Or 'loses a veg' could be an anagram for a part of the body, which could also be the name of the band/singer. Eg Sole Vegas (not that that's a band name or anything).
