I am writing a paper on the matter...when you were YOUNGER, many people had a favorite superhero...i was wondering why this was your favorite character rather than, say wonder woman (example if you were a male)...your answer didn't help at all

Well, you seem to be mistaking apples for oranges. Super heroes are not generally intended to deal with Gender Identity Confusion Syndrome (GICS). In my youth, I enjoyed Superman and Batman. I identified with them for their power and adventures.

I also very much enjoyed Wonder Woman and her arch enemy the Cheetah, Batgirl, Supergirl and her arch enemy Lesla-Lar. I found them attractive, appetizing, compelling, they stirred something in me, they provoked a hunger in me for something I could not (at that time) identify.

But I did not identify with them for power and adventure.

Super heroes today do not relate to gender identity, unless the writer is trying to dilute the readers’ enjoyment by the inclusion of a political message.

If you want to make it seem as if they do, you are going to have to falsify and fabricate evidence to support that view.

I would have to say that superheroes do not NEED to relate to gender identity today. They have more pressing concerns on their minds, like the safety of the entire world.

Try to remember - comics, cartoons, and movies ARE NOT REAL - real life is hard enough to deal with.
