What are some of the stereotypes that those who've moved to the U.S. have heard about African-Americans?

Have you ever been told African-American's are troublesome? Have you ever been told that African-American's are stupid? Did you know anything about the Civil Rights movement of the 1960's that occured in America? Did you hear any positive things about African-American's?

Not many positive things are being said about African Americans. They are wonderful people but the world is full of racism. I don't think it should matter what people are saying about them. This question just brings the world lower and lower. African Americans are people just like whites and Asians... Who cares what people say about anyone, As long as you are happy with yourself.

I haven't moved to the US, and what I've heard has everything to do with the Civil Rights Movement.
