Do you think it is unfair to comare President Bush to Hitler? What similarities are there, and what differences? How are the policies that have been put into effect affect our civil liberties in comparison with Nazi Germany?

Globalization and what they are willing to do to ensure their agenda successfully.

With the implementation of the Patriot Act and the 2007 Defense Authorization Act, which was signed into law in a private Oval office ceremony on October 17,2006, Bush has given himself the power to arrest and/or detain any American- for any reason-at any time-without charge-legal representation-or a trial??????!!!!!!

Really interesting. I just listened to a program on CBC FM radio this week where there was an American scholar talking about the potential for right wing Christian Dominionism to become the next big Faschist movement. He focused on the US.

Hitler was brushed off by people in the beginning. These right wing Christian movements are often brushed off too because we just cannot believe enough people would ever take them seriously enough for them to become a threat to the general public.

If you go back a ways, and start looking a little more deeply into various policies that have been put in place in parts of your country the US and mine, Canada ( I am thinking specifically in Alberta) you will see an alarming trend towards reducing our freedoms in the name of freedom! Our last Premier was in bed with the oil and coal boys, we called him King Ralph! Now that we are pushing the Kyoto Accord through...I support that accord by the way, Alberta is not prepared. There's more.

Since we have had a Conservative Priminister, our press has had it's wings seriously compromised... there's more but there is only so much space here. In the states your press is in trouble too. Don't let the tabloid entertainment stuff be your example, look further.

Your political spin doctors are unbelievgable! Ours are taking notes from yours, for the PC's. In fact, one guy was hired by them to come up here and train our PC's in that poison! I watch our House Sessions from Parliment. The way these Conservatives talk is evasive and repeditive. They answer all questions with evasion tactics! I have never seen anything like this here before.

Regarding the Middle East crisis, it turns out that that young woman that told the stories about Iraki soldiers leaving baby's on the floor to die in Kabul, was the daughter of a diplomat and wasn't even there! It was used to fire up public support for the war and it never even happened. This gal made a presentation to the UN!(sorry for my spelling sp check isn't working and if I am off a little on this, I didn't take notes at the time and now I wish I had!The point is accurate though check it out.) It was a complete fabrication! This is on record, look into it! I just heard this in a serious interview yesterday!

So does it seem that unbelievable now, that 9/11 may have been created by someone else with interests in creating a or fueling a conflict?I have been hearing that alot too. Always ask who would benifit..if and prepare to take a meandering path. There really is a lot going on here but people who are very accepting and trusting don't ever look into these things. You can find all this info through very credible sources. I am not being silly.

So, I don't think it will be Bush as the new Hitler, but I do think the threat of another Hitler is is real. It could very well come from the US or even shamefully, Canada. I think Canadians most of us being to the 'democratic' left, will put a stop to it. I just don't know how far we will let it go first. How about you guys?

The only similarities between the two is both were not military leadership material. Hitler is a surrogate for web trolls trying to express terms in philosophy without a vocabulary. Bush is a model for trolls trying to describe what a buffoon is. Some of the American privacy rights have indeed been delineated, however, in Nazi Germany, as in modern Germany, the right to vote was never taken away from the prisoners which is contrary to America. Bush is born again Protestant. Hitler was Roman Catholic. And, that reflects that the two had hardly any similarities beyond their occupation of being politicians.

That is simply ridiculous! Comparing an American President to an evil tyrant who gassed and murdered millions? I guess you would also compare America to Nazi Germany? They were fascists hellbent on world domination and guess what? So are the evil Muslim Islamic fascists and their jihad against the non believers so I honestly believe the real comparison would have been between Nazi Germany and Hitler and Islamic fundemental terroists and Bin Laden don't you think?

They purged all people who replaced into no longer for 'the social gathering'. Unfortunately, today's US looks like the Third Kingdom of Germany, what can you do (except voting for a peace lover, such as Obama, for example, in the next presidential elections)? Once I wrote a song, called: "A penis and the New World Order", comparing problems Hitler and Clinton had with their sexual parts. It goes as follows:
In the 1940s, a new order was imposed upon the world,
by one who didn't have two testicles but one instead.
And in the 1990s, a new order was imposed by another,
whose little prick was in addition curved, and didn't make any impression.
In the 1940, the one who had one testicle and tried to rule the world,
imposed upon it a new order, a new order upon the world.
And in the 1990, another one, whose little prick was not even
impressive, but curved, imposed upon it a new world order again.

Hitler took away people's right to privacy and the right to a fair trial, so did Bush. Of course Abe Lincoln did, too. In my book, they're all criminals.
