It IS fake, but everyone is in agreement on the way we fake it. I could just as easily call a 36.5 day period a week, and then i could say that there are 10 weeks in a year, but who would listen to me? But if the whole world agreed to do it that way is it still fake?

The Hebrews (for example), have been keeping careful track of the days of the week for at least 2300 years, and maybe 5767 years. They haven't missed a day in all that time.

Calendar changes and reform have never interrupted the 7-day cycles. It is very likely that the week cycles have run uninterrupted at least since the days of Moses (c. 1400 BC), possibly even longer.

They got the Sabbath from you-know-who (a reliable source). Later Christians called that day "Saturday".

It's very unlikely that the Mondays we have today are exactly N seven-day weeks since that first day God let light be, where N is an integer, since the calendar has been changed many times throughout history. I guess that's one of the reasons why God wants to call in all of humanity on Judgement Day. "You've all FORGOTTEN which day is the SABBATH day!!!!"

If the calendar says that it is Monday February 19th, 2007 and the world collectively agrees, Then the calendar is correct and cannot be fake.

We know that Monday is in fact Monday because this is a matter of definition.
