Last year I attended Rev it up Racing that was presented by Chevy.

I paid $50.00 to test drive all the new up coming 2007 Chevy cars (Cobalt, Monte Carlo, Impala, Corvette, Malibu, etc). You were actually able to really let loose on them (accelerating out of the block and braking hard). It was alot of fun.

I also got to attend some racing classes on improving our racing techniques for my 2 races. I then was able to race against other drivers with a supercharged Cobalt. It was a lot of fun.

Now my question is, Is there anything like that for any other car makes? Maybe like for Pontiac or Dodge?

I really enjoyed myself there and found it to be very interesting. If anyone has any information regarding anyother events like this please let me know.

Or if you want any information about this Rev it up Racing let me know also.

Thanks

I did "The Drive" experience in Vegas - sounds pretty similar. You pay $10 to drive any 2 vehicles there (GM products). I drove the 2006 Corvette on the speed track (ticket price - $10, redlining 2nd gear in a Vette that is not yours - priceless) and a Hummer H2 on the offroad course. It was a blast.

Pontiac had their "Drive to Excitement" here in Indianapolis last April during the NCAA Final Four (which we hosted). During that, you could drive any vehicle in the Pontiac lineup around a coned course as many times as you wanted. Vehicles included the G6, Grand Prix, GTO, Torrent, Sunfire, and the new (at the time) Solstice. People were killin that poor little thing! It was definitely pushed the hardest. They also had professional drivers taking people for rides in the GTO and the Grand Prix GTX around a section of the Formula One track (at the Indy Motor Speedway). They gave away a bunch of free stuff, had a load of vehicles on display, and some good employees that actually knew what they were talking about. All in all, it was a blast, and was totally free.

I'm not sure about Dodge. Other than the Challenger and Viper, I can't think of a vehicle they make that I'd want to drive.

PS - If you could, please email me some info on that Rev It Up Racing. That sounds pretty interesting.

I've never seen anything from other car manufacturers, however, you might want to keep an eye out. Other manufacturers won't let Chevy have all the fun.
