New Pokemon in Pokemon Leaf Green?

Question

Can you get pokemon from gold, silver, crystal, saphire, and ruby, in your game? if so how? can i evolve them into new pokemon? exp. Golbat to crobat.

Can I evolve a golbat into a crobat in the game?

Here's my answer for both questions. Gold, Silver and Crystal - no, they can't read the newer games however ones such as Ruby is capable of reading Leaf Green so trading is possible but only after beating the Elite 4 in "Leaf Green" and completing the Network Machine. Evolving Golbat into Crobat is possible but not until you get the National Dex in Leaf Green.

NOTE: I have Ruby, Sapphire, Fire Red, Leaf Green and Emerald so I have a lot of experience from playing all of these games

Like MattM said...you can evolve Golbat to Crobat with a natonal pokedex. You can trade pokemon from Sapphire, Ruby and Emerald into your leafgreen and firered.

You can't trade with red, blue, yellow, gold, silver, and crystal because rumors around the net said that gamefreaks has consider them to be obselete to them and had scrap all ideas relating to them and made pokemon Ruby and Sapphire their first true game.

you CAN but not from Gold, Silver, Crystal since the games aren't compatible

u need a National Dex to be able to get any Johto pokemon (such as Crobat) and Hoenn Pokemon (such as Blaziken)

to get a National Dex you need to have at least 60 Pokemon in you pokedex and have beaten the Elite Four
then just talk to Prof. Oak

it depends wich pokemon golbat to crobat is easy just trade to another person/friend then trade back wen it goes to other person/friend it evolves then u have to trade back and u have a crobat
