Using music to learn about diversity...?

What ways do you believe music can be used to bridge cultural gaps, and teach people about cultural diversity, and what specifically will they learn or will it demonstrate to them?

an interesting question, yet hard to accomplish. There are hundreds of events held by different countries every year in other countries especially by embassies, yet I fail to see any progress!

I guess the main reason is languate, appreciating music is only one part, yet the lyrics do make a huge difference. I honestly do not think music can help with the diversity issue. I have not heard of a single example where it actually worked.
