I was actually looking to pick up some good gospel music but not sure what to start with. I was aiming towards the more traditional gospel, not so much R & B. I recently heard the O' Jays do a cover of Bob Dylan's "Emotionally Yours" and it blew my mind. Doesn't neccessarily have to be religious either. Thanks.

Kirk Franklin's "Nu Nation" album!! Excellent!!! Especially the first song, on it.......God's Property, is so "Awesome!!!" Or Yolanda Adam's, has out some really good Gospel.. Along with Candy Staton, and if you can find Jon Gibson, he's so "Awesome" and I wish I could find his music, somewhere, anywhere!!! Stevie Wonder's music, is all about God, and especially his "Songs to the Keys of Life" album!!! Awesome!!! Good Luck to you!! And may God Bless You Abundantly through His Music!!! Smile!!!

Depends on which kind you like. Traditional southern gospel music is amazing. Greater Vision is the most famous... Gold City, The Hoppers, Dove Brothers, etc.

You should check out Dottie Peoples, Shirley Ceaser, Keith "wonder boy" Johnson, The Mighty Clouds of Joy, Albertina Walker, and of course the greatest hits of Mahalia Jackson.
