Being gay is not wrong. It is only wrong if you believe in the Bible.....next, many people believe that the Bible is a book tolive by but it is outdated and is not extremely accurate. If everyone were gay, humans would become extinct. I think that we need straight people as well as gay people.

Yes - I was a Christian, and then I developed gay feelings. I knew it was wrong, but I didn't know how to stop it. There are many many people like this. Just like there are people that struggle with lust toward the opposite sex within the church.
Being Christian does not mean you're perfect. We all still struggle with our sins. The thing is, are you trying to stop?? Are you seeking help? People living in sin and not caring, I don't believe are true Christians. Unrepentant hearts are not yielded to the Lordship of Christ.
In my situation, I never acted on my feelings because I knew that would be blatant sin. I struggled internally for 8 years before finally winning the battle with that particular sin. Now, I can spend my energy fighting new battles with my sin nature. Through the grace of Jesus, I know that I will be victorious!

Let's see if I can simplify it for you.
The passages in the Bible that specifically say that supposedly homosexual sex is wrong are in the Old Testament. They're part of Leviticus/Mosaic law.
Those who use those passages against gays the most call themselves Christians.
They themselves don't follow Levitical/Mosaic law, but insist others do?
I'm sorry, but that's extremely hypocritical to say that one group of people be forced to follow a bunch of behavioral codes that they themselves don't even follow. Not to mention a bunch of laws which aren't even part of our legal system.
The other passages are supposedly written by someone who never even met Jesus (except in a dream...and we all KNOW what we say about people who meet Jesus in a dream...CRAZY!!) then those people call themselves "Christians" when it's very obvious they don't follow Christ at all...they follow Paul.

Actually, Amanda, I don't believe that the Bible ever comes out and says that homosexuality is wrong. It says that promiscuity is wrong, and that premarital sex is wrong, but it never says being gay is going to send someone to Hell. The Bible does, however, tell us that it doesn't want us to judge people. God wants us to love our neighbors, no matter how different they are. It's His job to do the judging, not ours.

There are gay Christians, and the bible is interpreted differently by different people. How many straight Christians actually wait until marriage before they have sex - not many.

Yes and No. People wrongly interpret the Bible. People are gay. There are people who do know the REAL teachings, but very few. Most homosexuals do not care because it's the way they are. I am straight and I can see that.

Being gay is NOT wrong. Only the bigots who twist their interpretation of the bible spew that filth. True Christians don't think that way.
