You can find this out from the Weather Channel website. Go to http://www.weather.com. Enter in a zip code or city (for example, I entered "Juneau, Alaska.") For the type of weather information, click "month". It automatically shows you the current month, so click on "Previous Month" to see January. Below that, you can click on "averages" in the orange box to see the average temperatures for any particular month.
