No. He or She would be more likely to apologize to the terrorists for having offended them so severely that they felt compelled to attack us.

They wouldn't divert men, money and resources away from attacking the enemy in order to attack a country that was no threat and had nothing to do with the attack.
Clinton did launch retaliatory strikes after the USS Cole and the African embassies were attacked - he bombed a factory in the Sudan that made medicines. Just goes to show that no matter who is in the White House, they'll always go after targets that are no threat and hurt the poor the most.

It wouldn't have been by design that you left out the two embassies and a very large barracks facility in Lebanon that were bombed during the REAGAN administration with all kinds of talk about --- "you can run but you can not hide"--- coming out of the mouth of the Republican GOD REAGAN that never saw a damned thing done about ---- is it ??? Convenience of Events should not play to a LINE of political posturing ----- Suffice to say that before 9--11 the accepted school of thought was that ANY ATTACK ON ANY MUSLIM BASED GROUP WOULD SPARK WORLD WIDE TOTAL RELIGIOUS WAR AND NO ONE WANTED OR WAS WILLLING TO GO THERE------NO ONE !!!!
And, I might add here --- the number of Marines killed in that attack on the barracks in Lebanon was so far heavier in losses as compared to the USS COLE that it doesn't even rank in the same league of events !!!!
A Democratic President would and WILL defend this country against all enemies foreign and domestic--- and most certainly if we are attacked------the major difference being here---- they more than likely will not be defending us by ATTACKING PEOPLE WHO HAVEN'T ATTACKED US !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

According to all the Democrat's I know Bill Clinton is the greatest President we have ever had. They love him so much that they are fixing to elect his wife to the nations highest office. If it happens we would have women, both Democrat's, in the Highest office, the Presidency, and the most powerful, Speaker of the House. I don't have the same confidence in these people that my Democrat friends have. I'm stocking up on bullets and beans, I suggest you do the same.

Yes, I'd think so. If, for no other reason, than the voters would never vote for someone that vowed not the defend the US.
You should also get your facts straight about Clinton's response to the Cole and the WTC. You might be surprised to learn the truth.

Jesi is right. The track record of the dem.s in office is abismal. Billy boy was too "Busy" dealing with his personal intern to really care much about what was going on. But then, between his own personnal and his concerns for popularity polls, that's all that really matters anyway. Right? And Carter was a pathetic joke. Too bad we didn't have any more canals to give away...

Those events did have a response, by the way.
FDR, JFK, Lyndon Johnson, Clinton have all responsed to military acts. Compare FDR, who attacked Japan after Pearl Harbor, with Bush who attacked a country not responsible for 911.
Democrats have always done a better job.

Yes I believe they would.
And so does George W. Bush!
From his news conference the day after the midterm elections:
"And I look forward to working with them. And I truly believe that Congresswoman Pelosi and Harry Reid care just about as much -- they care about the security of this country, like I do. They see -- no leader in Washington is going to walk away from protecting the country. We have different views on how to do that, but their spirit is such that they want to protect America. That's what I believe."

Not attack a completely unconnected country like Bush did, hopefully.
America was attacked in 1941 by Japan. Democrat FDR declared war, the Republicans were against him and wanted trade relations with Nazi Germany.
