Definitely! The history books have been sanitized to a very large extent. There are however, Japanese authors who have written books on the war crimes of Tojo, and General Yamashita and the rape of Nanking. These books are available in libraries throughout Japan.

Japanese textbooks in Japanese do treat war crimes commited very lightly. They generally only mention them in simple passing. To some extent I understand why they realize they made a mistake and are trying to move past it and forget about it.

American textbooks do the same thing in regards to treatment of the Native Americans and eugenics program that led to the steralization of thousand of minorities.

There are 3 professors that I am aware of at Sophia University and Waseda University who do talk about his issue with students.

However, the majorioty of the population is unaware of the extent.

So, their back at it. I'm curious to see if they edit out other aspects of their history liek they did during the 1930's. The internet isn't that effective if you indoctrinate students to believe it is worthless and unworthy of trust.

EVERYTHING, fact or fiction, is on the internet. Japan does not control it. As a matter of fact, no country controls it.
