Well, I know what a Fairy Washboard is - a succulent plant that looks like a miniature wash board thus the name.
Is Fairywash what they do when they use the Fairy Washboard?

In my experience, it not really a Fairywash as much as a Fairy Wash. It's a tub decorated with Fairies all around that use to wash clothes or whatever. You do it between Spring and Fall just because those are the hottest seasons and the funnest to do this kind of thing. Hope this helps.
