Of course as long as it's for personal use and you own the original. Copyright laws.....
Download free software called DvdShrink.
http://www.dvdshrink-stop.com/index.asp?s=go-uk&a=dvdshrink&kw=dvdshrink
This alone will work for a lot of DVD's however some have good copy protection. In this case you need to download another free program called DVDFab.

You'll find loads of online tutorials to help you.

DVD Shrink
http://www.dvdshrink.org/what.html
That makes the best quality of the original, you can squeeze a DVD9 on to a normal DVD disc, Take out stuff that you don't need (other languages)
You install dvdshrink, then you open it up put your Original Movie DVD into the drive,
Open disk >> select movie
then run the Analysis option
Then you click the 'Backup' option
Then You Must...Go to Quality Settings >> Click on 'Perform deep analysis'....its takes about a hour longer, but it gives you the best quality, as i have found out
DVDShrink will then Copy Orginal to a temp directory...
Then it will ask you for a blank dvd which you put in, and the movie is copied onto it
Here a step by step

Copyright protected dvd's have macrovision scrambling on them and doing a straight copy will not work. You need to first decrypt the original dvd, then possibly shrink depending the size of the original compared to the size of disc to be copied to. Then burn. All the tools are out there and all free. The bought versions just use the freely available versions but combine them in one user interface.

it is plausible to reproduction maximum DVDs utilising some pc application and a DVD-Rcontinual on your pc. you want a decryption software, like DVD Decrypter, and then an encryption/burning application, like DVD shrink. once you decrypt a commercial DVD, the documents is basically too tremendous to burn onto your sparkling DVD, and it is the reason you want DVD shrink. basically search for for both of those on the internet and also you'll discover them for free acquire. There are different courses that do an similar projects, besides the undeniable fact that both i discussed look the most favourite. dissimilar more recent DVDs are safer, so that they might no longer continually reproduction.

if the dvd is a dual layer dvd (most movie dvds are), then if you want an exact copy, you need to copy it to a dual layer disk, which is considerably more expensive...
however, if you just want the movie and some of the extras (not all of them), then you can use programs such as:
DVD Shrink
