I'm 18 and I am not in the least bit of shape. I weight 214 and i'm 5'9', i want to form great abs and chest and arm muscles. I have some weights in my room and i don't have time nor money to go to a gym, so it will be really great if i could do it at hame. So do you have any ideas? Thanks

yes start slow and get toned up first, don't kill your self or you will lose interest fast. as you progress concentrate on a balance diet and start using heavier weight, and lower reps. please as you get more weight on the bar have a spotter. If you want to stay smaller you can use lower weights and more reps but the big guys use lots of weight and low reps. either way get a good diet and keep at it.

well first of all.. you have to know that it doesnt matter what you do.. if you dont do cardio to lose some of the gut you have.. the belly muscles will be under the layer of fat you have there.. which isnt a bad thing...

but a good work out will be 30 mintes of cardio... at least 3 times a week...that means you heart rate has to be up for at least 10 minutes...

then at least 2 times a week do situps and crunches..
I do these things I call POWER situps..this is what they are...
I find the inverted sit-up bench.. that is the bench you lay on.. and your feet are higher that your head is.... then I take a 110 lbs and do situps till I cant do them any more... rest for 1 minute then do it again.. and repeat untill I really feel like I'm going to die....

chest.. 1 way... bench press and get someone to help you...

remember your not gaining muscles untill they fail... ( fail = hurt so bad you cant pick up a pen.. and it feels like someone hit your arm with a hammer) that is the only time you gain muscle.. so push yourself... BUT. do it with style and be careful...

by the way... remember you have to eat to build...

lots of pasta , peanute butter , oatmeal , meat ( chicken ) water and milk...poataos...

DONT DO THE HOME WORK OUT DEAL... it is a sure fire way NOT to do it.. why.. because you can do it later..

join a gym.. that way YOU HAVE TO go.. you spent money...

and remember 3 little words

my advice would be.... since you are 18 at 214pounds i would go on a strict diet to just salads, vegies, and water. lift small weights, or even a couple push ups. you could go stright to sit ups but with all of that fat tissue it would never show. do alot of cardio. start jogging, or playing a sport. after you start losing the fat, start doing sit ups a couple times a week. as many as you can

If you look around you can find some really good workout dvds or vcr tapes.I use them to help keep me focused and get each body part equally.I use different sized dumbells plus I do cardio to burn fat( you cant see your abs if theyre hiding under fat).If you go to Amazon.com,you can get used workout tapes really cheap.Thats what I did.
