A zebra cichlid can grow to 5 inches and needs around 50 gallons of water to be healthy and happy. A zebra oscar is similar to the zebra cichlid. If, by chance it is an oscar, then it can grow to around 12 inches and would need around a 70 gallon tank.

Zebra cichlid is a vague description. Its definatly an african cichlid in the Mbuna family(lake Malawi). Prolly hits 6" at most depending on the type of "zebra". You could prolly do just 1 in a 20g(prefferably a 20 long), if you want more, I would go with 5(1M/4F) in a 40g "breeder" minimum(same type). Mbuna, especially "zebra" types are very aggressive fish for african cichlids.

They grow about 6" more likely, females are smaller, the are excellent breeding fish, its better if u have a couple in a 30g. Beware to add any fish along with them in a breeding tank, they are excellent murders for their fry. Its ur wish if u want just a single u can have himin 15g tank.

Female zebra cichlids grow to 5" long and male grow to 6" long.
The ideal-sized aquarium for just a single fish of this type would be 36" wide (holds 35 gallons) but as the fish grows older, it'll want more room (yes, even living solitary!) so I'd buy a tank that holds at least 209Litres of water, and save the money of having to buy a larger tank later on.

An adult zebra cichlid reaches between 5.5" to 6". Your tank should be at least 20 gallons.
