NASA has shown that there are more solar flares on the sun, which is causing the melting of the solar ice caps due to the increased heat coming from the sun. Does this change your view on man causing global warming or not? Do you believe that man is the cause? Why or Why not?

Here are a couple of articles that confirms what the asker is talking about. I did a little research on this myself. The links that you need to check out are as follows:

We shouldn't pollute our planet, that's plain stupid.

However, reading statements here saying that global warming is a fact is disheartening. Unfortunately, so few people can tell the difference between a theory and a fact. And even fewer understand scientific method well enough to understand that to date there is nothing conclusive about the allegations of global warming.

Climate change is a fact. Global temperature increases associated with climate change are facts. That CO2 cause those changes is not a fact, it is a theory. That solar flares could be causing it is not a fact, it is a theory. That shifts in the earth's magnetic field can cause internal heating is well established but not proven to be associated with global warming. There is a whole long list of misinformation that people assume are facts when they are at best theories and more often hypotheses or even wild guessing or outright lies (See 'An Inconvienent Truth' for a good example of these)

We do know that the earth is substantially cooler than the average over the last 60 million years. We do know that the global temperature over that period has been shown to have no relation to CO2 concentrations in the air. We also know that the climate models currently being used as the holy grail of global warming are badly flawed and cannot be relied on.

I do not believe or disbelieve the global warming theory. I am waiting for the hard proof that mankind is the cause of it and that has not come yet.

The "science" behind global warming is suspect from start to finish.

CO2 is real. Humans are causing an unnatural amount of CO2. CO2 causes global warming. All of these are facts. Humans might not be the only cause, but we are one of them, and certainly the easiest cause to control.

Could you give a link?

It is probably the sun causing part of it and man shouldn't pollute.

Regardless, do you think it's ok to have piles and piles of your garbage in landfills, cars spouting noxious fumes, factories doing the same, all the cattle releasing tons and tons of methane into the atmosphere? You think that's OK? You think that if there is another cause for global warming, we should just start letting go of any sort of responsibility for our planet that we and our kids live on and start sh***ing in the streets?

I don't know what to believe from either school of thought.

I do know that what we do to the environment can't be good for it.
