Yesterday, on Court TV, from 6 PM to 8 PM they showed the same "Bertolli" commercial 8 times! Is someone "in the booth asleep? I click "mute" on my remote anymore so I don't have to listen to the same thing "ad nausiam"!

Shows and networks try to sell advertising to make money. But some shows aren't as popular or are on at a time when advertisers think not many people are watching and the network can't sell all the time they have available. You'll see this on a lot of cable channels, during local shows, or sindicated shows.

When that happens, they use Infomercials where they paid one price for and can run over and over. In the end, they have to fill all the commercial time with something, they can't just sit in black. They show you are watching was recorded to a specific timed format so to fill that commercial space, they keep replaying the same commercials over and over.
