breakdown?? I don't get it. Lots of young people go out partying and fall down drunk. lots of young "ladettes" end up making a fool of themselves when they go out [taking off their clothes, vomiting, etc] .. go to any urban area of Britain on a Saturday night. It's not pleasant but it's a relaity!
Lots of women and girls can be impetuous and go get tattoos on the spur of the moment. I was going to shave off my hair once but got another tattoo instead. Ok she has two children but they are probably being cared for by some members of her family whilst she is just letting loose...
So why the need ot have her splashed all over the news channels saying she is having a breakdown??

She has already headed for a breakdown! Point blank.. Young people do party or whatever and yes she is human but she is in the entertainment spotlight and she is of age to know better now. I will make no excuses for Britney I understand the depression and feeling sad because of all the media that follows her but I wont excuse the behavior she has been displaying. She should be ashamed of herself she has no common sense and hopefully she will get some going through rehab . She needs a strong foundation of people around her this girl has heard YES too much now look at her . Get a tattoo , get drunk but did you see when she went crazy on Kevin car and how she was crying while she cut her hair? ??? Or when she change clothing with another female how gross ... Check your research on Britney she is a lost soul for now only she can come up out of that darkness she needs to be STRONGER and stop letting every d&**** thing get to her.

To a point you are right. Sometimes all the partying is meaningless. Lots of girls do that, to be sure. But lots of girls are not celebrities. Britney is under a LOT of pressure that regular people can only imagine. Some celebrities do it and are fine. But many do not, and the reason is because of the scrutiny, pressure, and money. A normal person can drink and drink, but the money will run out and they will have to stop. Britney's potential for seriously hurting herself is exponentially higher, because she can afford to go until she drops, every single time she is out. Every move she makes is being watched. Everything she does or says is scrutinized by the world. Her career, reputation, and entire life are at stake here. That is more pressure than you will ever have to experience. For celebrities in her position, the potential for a meltdown is much higher than average. If you don't believe me, ask Anna Nicole Smith or Kurt Cobain or River Phoenix.
Oh, wait. You can't. They are dead. Countless others have had to go to rehab or worse. It is a different world that these people live in. The threat is very real. I, for one, would not want to be in her place in a million years. I feel sorry for her. That said, it might not last, and you could be right. The odds are just against her, relatively speaking.

I agree, who are we to judge her frame of mind? Was Mel Gibson accused of having a nervous breakdown? Ok, that might be a bad example as he was just a racist but the fact is, we DON'T know her.
We don't know how she thinks or how she really is as a person. All we know about her is based on her record label and PR people portraying her as a "bubblegum pop princess". If she wanted to shave her hair for ages, then who are we to judge? Also how do we know she hadn't thought it through? People forget she's in her early twenties. The time to cut loose and do and wear crazy things is then because that's about the only time you can get away with it. If she was 30 or even 40 and suddenly did this, then maybe people should worry...Not that you shouldn't be able to shave your head or get tattoos at that age!
Also we don't know that she's the main caregiver for her children, it's more than likely she's got a load of nannies and her mum to help with them and look after them while she's out partying. As fot the partying, what proof do we have she's out every night? A few gossip rags word? She might only be out a few times a month.
I personally am fed up of all the slating of her. Especially on here, I'm sure there are other celebritys out there who deserve a slating as well. Move on and get over it.

Well, consider that at 25 she's a mother of two, a divorcee and hasn't had a hit song in forever. Most women her age don't go partying every other night and get falling down drunk while leaving their kids with a sitter. Most divorced women her age who have kids are trying to keep it together for the kids and make sure they are adjusting to the situation. As for the hit song, Brit doesn't seem to be that interested in doing that right now.
She spent all those years working and now that her marriage has fallen apart, she has decided to go 'get a life'. Party til you puke is okay in college, but not as a mother of two toddlers. She's never seen with them anymore and leaving them with family or nannies is irresponsible. If any non-famous woman did this they'd have DFS all over them. Besides, those taking her kids so she can go out whenever she wants to are enabling this behavior.
She is going way too fast and nobody has the balls to tell her she's ruining her health, her career and jeopardizing her custody situation. Believe me K-fed can make a great case as to why he should have full custody at this point. This girl is in need of some serious therapy or she's going to end up like Anna Nicole Smith.
As for splashing this all over, she spent her entire career lookin for media attention. It's too late to complain about the coverage now because it's not favorable.

Attention. Or a cry for it. Cleverly planned.
She knows that her career is not what it used to be. People as a whole have had it up to here with her.
Many among celebrities are reaching out to help her only to help their own career in their goal to get noticed. It is a viscous circle.
Is she having a break down? No, I really don't buy it. Is this good for her career? You bet.
This is free advertising. Everyone will eventually buy her new album when it ever comes out because they do not only feel sorry for her but want to see if it is any good.

people in show biz are not allowed to act normal so when they get the chance to let their hair down that's exactly what they do, they are just human after all and maybe if the media let them alone once in a while to have a bit privacy then they could just be themselves, the press should lay off and find something better to do with themselves than hound a young mother to the edge of a breakdown, hope she is well soon

Actually I shaved did it because K-Fed said he was going to get a court order to have my hair tested for drugs.I guess I showed him! Now no one will think I'm an unfit mother!
You're absolutley right, I'm just a normal red blooded American gal that's sold more records than any woman in history! Plenty of girls have snorted cocaine off of Paris Hilton's a s s too. It's not like I'm the only one.

Well if you go and shave your head for no reason at all - I think that pretty much constitutes you as having issues. Britney Spears went from cutsie wholesome pop star to stark raving mad pop star
She is still young and has the potential to make a real comeback but she never will if she continues to display random acts of strange behavior.
Obviously this is not a publicity stunt - this woman seriously needs help. She has those two babies to raise and they are the ones who are really suffering. No nanny or child care attendant can substitute for real motherly love.

Because it's the American media. The more spectacular the problem the more press it gets. The woman has so far put her children in danger so many times DCFS is on her butt and between her and her ex-husband it will be a miracle if those kids make it to puberty!

i think she's heading for a breakdown beacuse shes partying when she has 2 kids at home, she shaved her head, but not just all that partying and makin a fool out of herself is what i think is causing a breakdown, when she was shaving her head she kept on saying "why doesnt anybody like me anymore." and even started cryin and stuff
