I don't think herbs are a none food item. The rest are ok. But to truly fast nothing should go in your mouth.

in fasting no food should should be in your system and herbs are food. Vitamins can be really hard on your stomach, so I would not for that reason. However, even during fasting, you still need fluids and electrolytes. here is a good drink specifically for fasting and cleansing...

The Lemonade diet, created by Stanley Burroughs..
2 tbls. lemon juice
2 tbls. Maple syrup (organic)
1/10 tsp. cayenne pepper
8 oz water (distilled)

mix all ingredients. Drink as many glasses in a days time as you wish to alleviate hunger and maintain energy levels. Can be continued for up to 10 days. It is recommended that you begin with only one to three days. Use as a fasting method for the "superior diet" or anytime you desire a good cleansing. To break your fast, drink all fruit juices the first day. Drink juices until lunch the second day, then eat a small portion of fruit or vegetables for lunch and dinner. Third day, resume regular diet. EXTREMELY ALKALINE FORMING.

It depends on what kind of fasting your doing. In most cases a fasting is mostly taking water and nothing else. Its extreme but it works if you can stick with it. Be ready to experience head aches, bad smelling bowel movements, strange looking urine. This takes a lot of energy to clean out the body. It's like removing a virus from the computer. It always works better afterwards.

when I would fast, (the type of fast would depend on the day of the week) I wouldn't take any supplements on the days where I didn't eat anything. Only cuz I like to take pills before or after meals. But, for free professional advice on the matter, call any local CVS or Wal-Greens and they'll tell u for free.

It depends on what kind of fast you are on. I know certain vitamins, when taken on an empty stomach can cause some serious tummy cramps. . .

If it is a total fast - No
But just like there are accommodations for people with health issues (at least in Judaism) there are modified fasts which would probably allow it.

When boredom, depression, or maybe stress causes cravings, find a nonfood way to meet up with them such as going on a walk, calling a friend, choosing a bath, reading a book, as well as doing some yoga.
