If we're basing this on looks only, I say British actor, Alfred Molina comes to mind. He's dark and brooding and in my opinion, has the acting chops to play the part. He'd have to age a little but Hollywood special effects and make up can handle that.
Ben Affleck should play Scott Peterson.
Ashley Judd, plus some Hollywood type padding and extra carbohydrates along with perixode, could play Anna Nicole Smith.
