That depends on whether or not you're normally a well adjusted and happy person.
Sometimes crying can just relief a lot stress and take a load off. It makes us feel emotionally cleansed, and renewed.
For a chronically depressed person however, crying is a symptom and can make the person feel even more hopeless.
I have heard many times in my life, that which doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. I guess a good cry might fall into that category.

Yes, it's true! I have experienced it many times. It not only helps to release the tension, anger, sadness or whatever emotion you have been bottling up in your heart and soul and mind, but it also helps you to overcome the emotion and after crying, you will feel as though you have been recharge with new batteries and will be stronger mentally.

I wouldn't call it stronger, actually.
Crying does purge emotions of anger, sadness and hurt, and in such a way it's like going to the bathroom emotionally.
You don't get stronger every time you take a dump, but your body gets purged from old food residue and ready for new.
Similarly, crying dissolves the 'old' emotion and readies you for new experiences.

Who told you that old tale of garbage? Crying releases tension and has nothing to do with being mentally stronger.

I believe so. It releases a lot of pent up emotion and allows for a coping mechanism. Thus allowing one to become more emotionally and mentally stronger.

It depends on the circumstances, usually crying is a way of letting go of some troubling thoughts or feelings that free us up to move past them.

No & yes, if you cry for no reason at all, NO. If you are crying over an issue, such as work-stress then, YES. There are many cases, I think you should get the point!
Best of luck to you! =)

No... Think about it. Crying is an act of weakness - How would being weak make you stronger?
