Does ANYONE remember a programme called Johnny Briggs in the 80's - Johnny Briggs kept rabbits and there were two little girls in his school (twins) who used to always say 'our Mams a nurse and....'
None of my friends remember this - I swear I havn't dreamt it! Also - I'm sure Johnny's big sister was played by the girl who plays Veronica on Shameless....

Yes I remember watching this as a kid, he had a dog called Razzle. It wasn't the girl in Shameless who played his sister, but oddly both the actress who played his sister and the actress who played Veronica in Shameless were in Coronation Street and Dinner Ladies at some point.

No, you haven't dreamed it up - I used to watch Johnny Briggs too!
The thing I used to find funny was that they'd come into the classroom and sit down, their teacher would give them something to do, there'd be a conversation with those twins, then the bell would ring! Shortest lessons in the world! I was so envious as a kid!!!!
Their dad was played by Paul Schofield who crops up every now and again in films and tv dramas.

Yes I remember it well. I have never seen Shameless but the girl who played Johnny's big sister also played Kevin Webster's sister in Corrie some years ago. She was short and mouthy in both programmes.

Jonny Briggs was a TV series which ran from 1985 to 1987.
Jonny Briggs was a boy who lived with his mum, dad, his sister Rita, his brother and their dog "Razzle". His arch-enemies were twin sisters that were always trying to get him in trouble.
I remember the theme tune I think it was played on a trombone.

I remember it!! I used to really like it, I remember one episode when it was mum and dads surprise wedding anniversary party and he did something to the cake so his sister had to re-ice it and she used toothpaste. He had a brother as well and a dog called Razzle I dont think his sister was Veronica in shameless though, unless he had two.

I remember it as well - he had a dog called razzle! Takes me back. The girl that played his big sister was a paramedic in casualty for a few years.
