Does anybody know a good LEGITIMATE website for freeware/shareware? I am looking to obtain a photoshop type program, and something to animate .gif files. Thanks.

I would get an open source program like GIMP over any freeware program. GIMP is a good program to do that stuff in.

Try the GIMP for a photo editing program. As for .gif animators, I've never used, but a quick search on download.com for a gif animator should yield something useful.
