Like everything else they'll blame Bush. Even though dozens of Democrats voted to authorize military action, former President Bill Clinton publicly and vehemently denounced Iraq for having WMD, and Saddam violated 17 UN resolutions. The cut and run crowd will deny the supermajority vote of both House and Seanet was conducted on the recommendation of two congressional intelligence committees.
They will deny their involvement and blame Bush.

There is no "cut and run" crowd. Just people supporting a change of course, which Bush has been refusing to listen to. The Dems would never cut off funding or limit troops, as then Bush could blame the failure in Iraq on them. The Dems are simply using this as a tactic to try to get Bush to make changes. When public outcry becomes loud enough, changes will be made.

The Sunni's and the Shiites have been scuffling with for hundreds of years. what's your peace plan for them? how can you maintain Syria and Iran from interfering in Iraq's affairs. If those 2 matters are actually not resolved, it does no longer count if the u . s . troops stay there for a million day or a hundred years. Civil conflict will proceed with or devoid of us!

I find it hard to come up with any reason to believe that they are concerned with what happens in Iraq. Judging by an almost total lack of solutions presented for any of the problems we face as a nation I can only assume their focus is on winning votes and gaining power.

Our government keeps trying to tell us that it is Shia(Iranian) insurgents who are the problem.
But here's the thing Sunni(Saudi) are the insurgents that are doing most of the killing of our soldiers!!!!http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/iraq/2006-12-08-saudis-sunnis_x.htm
So why doesn't Bush who is on personal terms with the Bin Laden's of Saudi Arabia ask his friends to stop letting Saudi's supply the Sunni insurgents?????
THEY ARE KILLING OUR SOLDIERS!!!!
Bush keeps trying to blame Iran for supplying Shia insurgents which they probably are but so are the Saudi's!!!!
We need to pull our troops out and make the sects stand down!!!
Just the fact that Americans are occupying Arab land is enough to incite this fighting!!!
Our citizens have become to easy to confuse and manipulate if they don't actually pay closer attention to the truth!!!!

Come on now...Bush stated 'mission accomplished', so we need to leave. Iraqis need to fight for their own country, just as we did for ours. What is going to happen? Maybe they will build their country on the backs of slaves, maybe they will kill off and imprison whole indigenous populations, like we did here in America. Nobody said democracy was easy, or bloodless, or PC. Which is why countries shouldn't be FORCED into that kind of decision. Civil war was bloody, too. All worth it, today. BTW, when are the cambodians, vietnamese, and communists going to fight us back here, since we stopped fighting them over there?

they dont care. Seriously... And yes... if we did what they wanted RIGHT NOW, if we just "cut and run" and civil war ensues, that, too would be Bush's fault. He really is in a no-win situation. But what I love about president Bush is that he does what is right, not what is popular. What is right is not always the popular choice. He is not in it for the popularity or for the polls. He is doing his job that the AMERICAN PEOPLE gave to him, and he will do that job regardless of what the polls say.

Why do conservatives actual pretend like they care about what is going to happen to people in Iraq? I am not buying the conservative humanitarian angle.
I think if we pull out the people in Iraq will still kill one another just like they are doing now. It may get more vicious but there is no way we are going to stop it from happening.

Iraq will have to stand up for themselves and stop relying on us. Therefore truly becoming a democracy. We should only be there in a support role.
If you want to bring up Cambodia, Nixon and Kissenger's action brought the Khmer Rouge into power. BTW- Nixon cut & Run from Nam, Ford surrendered.

I really don't think they care, but whatever bad happens there they will lay at Bush's feet, so they win twice: 1) they pander to the communist sponsered peace movement from which they derive so much of their support, and 2) if all hell breaks loose in the middle east it will give them more ammunition to fire off at Bush (IT"S ALL BUSH"S FAULT!!!!!). Gotta love 'em.
