I don't really like my job, but it pays well and provides me with insurance. if i quit, it would be hard with a lower paying job, but I'm thirty, don't want to sit here at a desk my whole life. I want to like my job. does anyone ever really LIKE going to work? would it be asking to much? should I just be happy with what I have or do something I want to do?

I have a husband and two children, and don't want them to be burdened

If you want to move away from there, first make sure you find a job that will pay you good and you will like it (not necessary as much as your job). Since you are bound to such things such as paying bills and mouths to feed, make sure that guarantee yourself that you will not be left without a job. Life is short when you look at it when you are 70 years old. When your time has come, at least be proud of your life than misreable. Many people put themselves on jail delibreatly, in exchange for money, but reality is that if you don't live your life happy, then what is the point of life anyways?

Count your blessings Boomer. I was always happy to have a steady income, insurance, benefits, and now enjoy a retirement income, all for putting up with the good and the bad parts of my many jobs for the same employer.

1. Consider your contribution to the family's well-being.
2. Maybe you aren't contributing all your talents at work. Think of additional ways you can contribute at your job that will hopefully make it more enjoyable.
3. If all this fails, set a goal like a certain level of savings to attain before you put in your resignation.

Note: It's hard to believe you're really " I am a 30 year old mom of 2, constantly learning, laughing, and loving life." after reading your question. Good Luck

I think the best thing to do is maintain your job until you decise what will really make you happy. Take some time and write down your talents and interests. For instance if you like to sew, or make crafts take the time to create a plan that will help you use your craft and make money at the same time. Open an online business sellin your sewing work or crafts if that is your talent or interest. Once you have secured a foundation that allows yoy to use your craft and still make enough money to support you and your family the stress will ease. People often hate their jobs because they don't feel like they are living life wioth purpose. Life is more than just paying bills and havin benifits. Use your talent and make money doing it you will wake up feeling brand new and free.

Tell your husband to get a REAL job, so that you can be a stay at home mom and not have to go to work.
