In no particular order:
A genuine loving & caring person.
An intelligent woman (can not be an "AIRHEAD")
A great smile.
A sense of humor.
Very understanding.
A strong woman that is idependant.
Has the patients & demenor necessary to be a GREAT mother.
Has to either love sports or be willing to put up with me being a sports fan & maybe learn a few things.
Can't wear make-up all the time...there shouldn't be a need for all that stuff (put some lip gloss on and call it a day).
Can't smoke cigarettes.
Can't be an alcoholic (a few drinks every now and then is okay).
A type of woman that wouldn't mind staying home, order some pizza and watch a movie or two on a Saturday night.
A woman that could keep me on my toes and would not let me walk all over her, but also not be a dictator either.
A woman that isn't set in her ways and is willing to try NEW ideas, foods, ways, etc......
Can't dress like a whore (kind of obvious).
A woman that is SEXY....even when sleeping with her mouth open and snoring.
Her sexual appetite has to be equal to mine.

That is something us men don't take that serious upfront. It's after your in the marriage, is when you realize how important the little things are. I'm sure as well with the women.
Here are some of the most important to me.
Being Considerate, Understanding, Helpful, Supportive, Sharing, Caring, Agressive to Sex, Independence (some,) and last but not least........Honest!

5. Fecundity (child bearing potential).

Well Rachel, having been happily married for 44 years...I would have to say that I would definitely look for a woman who is open with her thoughts, talks indecisions out with me, speaks her mind and loves children. Having children is not important.

I have a better question for you. Ask married guys what they appreciate in their wife, five years or more after the fact.
By asking bachelors what they look for, you are dooming yourself to the whim of the green newbie.
As for me, after 7 years marriage, I appreciate my wife's "realness", her exploration of her own talents independent of me, and her very deep and genuine sense of humor, which I have the pleasure of witnessing every day.

I look for if she's pretty or not. But most importantly, I look for their personality. She has to be nice, smart, and be able to handle situations. Then she would be a good wife. She would mke good mom for my children if I have any.

honestly i'm not that picky nice looks with matching personality
no assholes but no hideous girls either
i just want a girl who just want's to chill none of thiat stuck up materealistic hollywood bullcrap either
down to earth but not boring. i bet that's easier then you'd like to think

well I am looking for a woman who understands me...I like wearing women's lingerie (pretty panties) all the time and would like her to understand this and support me in this. a woman who has an open mind......
