Both of my kids are biracial...mixed black and white. My parents are not happy about any of this and have said they are going to raise my kids to be white, which i know is wrong. i want my kids to know both sides of their heritage. Last night a black man came on the TV and my 3 year old pops up and says "i don't like black." i can hardly be mad at him, right? i mean, isn't it my parents' fault? i shouldn't discipline him for it should i?

Instead of punishing, you should explain. "No, black isn't bad. color is never bad, (i say color because a kid can understand that better than 'race'.) Read them books featuring multiracial children. Move out of you parents. They are YOUR children, you should be the one raising them. I don't really understand what it means to be raised white. There are so many different caucasian coultures, as their are black coultures.
Just educate your children, tell them that the are beautiful, and make sure they keep out of trouble.

I would not discipline the child he is only 3 and didnt come up w this on his own. I would talk to him about it.
A- where he got that from
B- why doesnt he think he likes black people or what makes them different - you will have to keep it as simple as you can though do to his age.
C- I would explain to your parents they cant choose to raise the children white - its not like choosing a church you are what you are and the should love thier grandchildren for who they are.
Does your son have any contact w his father's family? Maybe he could use a few visits w relatives from that side of the family if thats possible. If not find a friend - who is black - and visit w them w your son alot!!!
You dont want him to develop racist ideas because in the long run he will come to hate a part of himself.

Man, your kids are going to be PHUCKED up! There is nothing worse than a mixed black/white kid going out into the world being taught to hate themselves.
Those racist retards on the playground are going to have a ffield day screwing with your confused kids.
You should not be allowing your parents to have any interaction with those children, they are basically punishing the kids for actions they disagree with that you did, which also gives us some insight into their intelligence level!

Boy, your in a conundrum....I guess they will learn to hate dad and his family as well, and yes its due in part to you parents hatred, but you are the parent as well as that black man your parents have no respect for...........oh well, good luck !
