Maybe your puppy didn't have any runts. Wait a few days or weeks and see if one is smaller than the rest

The term runt refers to the smallest of the litter. Often the runt is not as able to fight off other puppies in order to nurse. Weigh them and you will know which is the runt. However, keep in mind that the runt will grow up to be no different than any other puppy in the litter as long as it is well fed.

The runt of the group usually is the one that is left out and doesn't get the share of the "milk". Sometimes there can be no runt.

The runt may also be smaller than the rest.

In this last litter the runt wasn't even apparent until they started eating canned. He is about 1/3 the size of the others now at 7 weeks.

There isnt always a runt in every litter and the runt is usually the smallest (and sometimes cutest) when the puppies grow older

You may not have a runt, It's rare... the runt is significantly smaller and normally looks dead upon birth because it is so small and frail. Hope this helped!!! and hey if you want to name one the "runt" choose the last one born, they are normally the runts.

The "runt" is usually the last one born, thinest, smallest in size. but there is a possibility that your dog had very strong pups with no runts.
