i wish my ap class would do a documentary project instead we're stuck with photo essays..fun but the pictures arent movinn ;) in any case whatever you're interested you havent stated any restrictions so a documentary by nature informs you of something i'd personally stay away from the obvious :drugs, bullys, peer pressure, pregnancy. more than likely those are going to be done by half the class if not more and those topics are so repetitive people will not be interested or care and you may not get creativity points. Instead I'd be more specific - what is the main issue in your neighborhood or state? Homelessness and treatment of the homeless-florida that s a great thing too because of all the blame for the rise in homelessness due to the hurricanes as i'm sure in lousiana that'd be a very intimate documentary to do, could be something fun like dating and observation inform people on habits that cause moodkillers and what not -the over achievers who take ap classes ;) more than likely their homelives are filled with discussions that non ap or IB kids dont h ave the difference in lifestyle and view of the future for those in regular versus higher level and etc. have fun with it

1. Any uprising, anywhere.

2. Dangers of small arms and light weapons

3. Nutrition and the importance of eating well.

4. What is going on in your community, what needs to be told.

5. Where I love there is a lot of free running water. Why not produce hydro-electric plants instead of nuclear plants. So could inform the community that this is a choice or possibility.

it depends on what your in to. It being an English class you have certain boundaries that you can't cross
and it could depend where you live how about one on a famous author that lived near by you could go and show the general area where he/she lived and perhaps pull out some quotes that they wrote that they might have been referring to the area or a certain building or landmark and then while the camera is showing the area take th opportunity to talk all about the author and then maby say"His/Her works are still being read today" and show someone reading one of there books-
just an idea

go to oprah.com, do a search on child slavery, read the stories about a boy named Never, in the search box, type in "sold into slavery". there is your topic for a documentary

um... i think it would be neat to see opinions on the use of technology, such as cellphones, internet, cablbe tv. and make the opinions in the perspective of a parent and in the perspective of a teenager. i have no idea what it would inform you on but you can figure that out yourself.

Are you being paid to come up with an idea. DO you work for talkback, endemol or celador?

If so, do you're own effing work.
(unless you want to write my next book for me)
