The guy who made lost is making the new star trek movie it comes out in 2008!

From what I understand, J.J. Abrams (who does 'Lost') jumped ship to do an adaptation of Stephen King's 'Dark Tower' series, so it's not likely he's still on the project.
The plot of ST IX was supposed to be based around a young Kirk and Spock, but who knows at this point?

I have no idea what the plot about the new Star Trek movie is going to be about. Star Trek IX has already been made.

I thought Star Trek IX was called Insurrection.. It came out in 1998.
