I don't want a normal funeral. I want to be cremated. I want people to see the good things about me.. not my dead lifeless body. I want it to be fun.. since i can be a goofball.. and a bit of a smart ***.. i want people to have fun.. no one should be sad when i go.. Because by the time i die.. i will be old and i will probably be in pain.. so I will go on to heaven and be happy pain free.. So that shouldn't be a sad thing.. it should be celebrated. So put on the disco and do a finger pointed disco dance for me. I will smile down and be happy everyone took my last wishes seriously..

I plan to be cremated. My ashes will go to four of my friends all over the world who will either put them on a small raft and set them alight (a viking's funeral) or scatter them to the winds.

I'm leaving money for my ' local' friends and colleagues to gather at a favourite restaurant or one they'd know I'd like and they can have a wake and tell stories about me.

Have the music recorded and a memorial service I'd like printed up if anyone wants to use it.

I'm not morbid or obsessed by death, I've just had to bury too many people who had made no plans whatsoever and hadn't prepaid their funeral expenses.

Here is the thing.
Why are we burying bodies all over the US?
Is this not the same as what we do in a landfill?
I want to die in my sleep, not be processed, and burned. Then I just told my husband that I want my ashes mixed in the dirt of a flower garden. That is where I want my remains to lie. Dont need a funeral either. Instead have a party for me, I will be there in spirit.
Plain, simple and little cost. No burden to my kids.

I personally dont need or care about the format of the funeral since I am already dead (not being sarcastic).

I would like to think that there would be a lot of people there and they would only share the funny/happy stories about me. Hopefully my friends would go out and get drunk after the funeral and my family could go one with their lives.

one day for the whole crying and mourning thing. its healthy and helpful.

a party with good food, my favortie music playing, and a general celebration of my life.

and after my family scatters my ashes I want to have the traditional polish dinner/lunch afterward. I'm sure that some of my family will go to the bar if not at the resturant than the one my uncle runs. I remember at my grandpa's funeral an expensive bottle of vodka was bought and everyone who wanted some had a shot or mixed it with some soda- that might be nice to do at mine.

I would like my funeral to the party of the year! It would be a time when friends and family would gather, eat food, drink dirty martinis and tell stories about me. Any funeral is sad, but I want it to be happy sad.

I would give full control of my funeral arrangements to my children, wife, brother, mother or who loved ones were left. Since death is the end of consciousness, I can't care about anything if I'm dead. But my surviving loved ones wuold care, so I'd let them decide.

I want it to be a happy one. A celebration! Guests must laugh their hearts out! Enjoy! Why be sad over something which is over? If I can really see them from above or anywhere else, I wouldn't want to see anyone cry.

I want to be a gathering of friends and relatives, celebrating my life and achievements. But they would be no crying, because they will be thinking that I will rise again after three days.
