Women have been using ways to terminate pregnancy since there WAS pregnancy. Most often it was chemical induction of abortion, not the mechnical kind we associate with abortion today.

Assuming you mean literal history like when and how they have been performed, there is probably a better forum here to ask the question. Or you could just google "History of Abortion" and probably get several websites that will tell you everything you can imagine.
