The word 'fate' is cognate with the Sanskrit word Vidhi.
According to Hindu philosophy, Vidhi is the psychic energy
you have got in your present life as a result of your past
births. There will be more freedom for males to go against
Vidhi, but less freedom for females.
In the major events of your life, you cannot escape Vidhi.
In the other events, you have some freedom.

A very complex combination of circumstances. Some are beyond our control, some result from our decisions. So our individual fate is a combination of those.Whether they are pre-programmed by some super power is a matter of faith. I have no opinion. I just don't know though I'm leaning towards "probably not".

Fate is similar to luck. I think that there is fate to some degree, but everything that happens is the result of the choices that we make.

The distorted world view that states the next step you take when you go for a walk this afternoon, was determined a millesecond after the Big Bang.....it doesn't make sense...but that's just me.
