Did you mean infatuation? There is a word "infactuation," but it doesn't seem to apply.
Infatuation is silly crushes, which sometimes lead to obsessions. These don't stop after the teen years, though--they can go on until one is quite up in years. They start in the pre-teen years, and have always been around--one would need to live in an isolated area, and be home-schooled to avoid these.

I think the word you are wanting here is "infatuation." It comes from a Latin word meaning "foolish."
Teenagers are going through such enormous changes during adolescence that a bit of foolishness, especially when it comes to romance, is to be expected.
It might produce some rather painful results, but it won't kill you.

It is an universal natural step by step progress phenomena of anything what so ever. Infatuation is not exception. If there is no infatuation, what would you compare wisdom with?.
