Defragment your computer every 2-3 days and also delete everything you don't need any longer. If your computer is filled up with so many trash and too many files, it's getting very slow with the time being.
Don't allow too many things to run with autostarts (antivirus & firewall should be enough!) and also deletes & clear cookies & all internet files from time to time - and also download the CCleaner at http://www.ccleaner.com

Go to your start green button ( usually on lower left corner of screen)
Select > All Programs
>accessories
> System Tools
Run BOTH .. not at same time
> Disk Clean UP
Then ..
> Disk Defragment
.... Run your anti spyware... or virus portection software to scan for virsuses.
Look IN.. Control Panel >
Add / Remove Programs> and remove any of the programs on that list that you DONOT USE.
Go get AVG malware ( also known as.. EWIDO) downlaod thier FREE 30 Full version trial ( * you get basic after the 30 if you do not buy) Scan your PC again.... Look on top of that for the tab labeled> Analysis.. > Auto Start...
check that list also for things that start when you start your laptop, chances are you have all kinds of things opening up that can be opened AFTER you start IF you want... not all opening together... that def slows the PC down.. do all of these and it should be running smoother... You gotta clean it OUT!!

1. Uninstall unnecessary programs
2. Remove old, unwanted files
3. Run a spyware scan
4. Defrag your hard drive (Go to Start --> Run and type dfrg.msc)
5. Make sure your IDE channels haven't reverted to PIO mode (Right-click My Computer and choose Properties. Then under the Hardware tab, choose Device Manager. Expand the IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers and double click each of the channels. Under the Advanced Setting tab, make sure the transfer mode is Ultra DMA (either mode 2 or mode 5). If it displays PIO, change it to "DMA if available". If you aren't allowed to do this because it's grayed out, go back to the Device Manager and delete the primary and secondary channels, then reboot your computer twice.)
6. If your keyboard is wireless, try moving the speakers away from the keyboard and receiver.

Over the time, unused & corrupt files accumulate in the registry & in your hard drives in general.
1) Download & use CCleaner
2) Uninstall unused programs
3) Do a DiskCleanUp (Start>AllPrograms>Accessories>SystemTools>DiskCleanup)
4) Defragment regularly.

go to all programs, go to accessories there, go to system tools and run disc clean up, after disc clean up run your defrag, these may take a while since its never been done, your keyboard and speakers may not be compatible, if you have a flouresant desk lite try turning it off to check sound trouble, god luck
