Here's a few of them, they are not "mainstream", but definitely worth the time.
Videodrome-bizarre, ties reality to hallucination
Begotten-crazy, abstract view of creation
Naked Lunch-totally incomprehensible
Jacob's Ladder-nothing is as it seems
Dark City-strange, yet cool
Last Temptation of Christ-alternate perception of the Bible, weird
Ichi the Killer-crazy, unnecessarily violent mobster movie
Donnie Darko-prophet rabbit, time travel, what more could you want?

Well, you should certainly watch David Lynch's other films too especially "Eraserhead" and "Mulholland Drive".
If you haven't seen Stanley Kubrick's "A Clockwork Orange", you'll also be in for a real "what the fu**?!" treat.
One movie you should try and track down is "Battle Royale". It's a Japanese film about a high school class that is taken from school and dropped off on a deserted island...they are told they have to kill each other until there is only one person left...totally f***ing crazy movie!
The "Strangers With Candy" movie is hilarious and strange.
Another good one is "Boxing Helena" which was directed by David Lynch's daughter. It's about a guy who is so obsessed with his girlfriend, he amputates her arms and legs so he can keep her with him at all times in a box (!)
Speaking of boxes, the Coen brothers movie "Barton Fink" is worth a look too.

"Lady in the Water" by M. Night Shamilan (sorry if I spelled this wrong) was weird, and just when you thought the movie was starting to get into the action, it ended. Made no sense to me.
"Ultraviolet" starring Milla Jovovich also was very futuristic and strange. In this one you become a vampire through tainted blood and you only live 12 more years after that. Weird.
"Aeon Flux" with Charlize Theron was based on the MTV Liquid Television short cartoons. Anytime they try to make a live action version of a cartoon it gets lost in translation. This one was sort of a reincarnation type movie.
