Is it a movie guy can enjoy too? How chick flick is it? Cause me and my friend want to ask this guy to go with us, but he might not like it.. He likes funny stuff, hates scary stuff. Is it all girl stuff, or will a guy maybe like it too?

Went with a guy friend and a gal friend. He liked it OK but wasn't all that enthusiastic but, in part, he was too young to get the 80's humor and MTV spoofs, 80's has-been jokes, etc.

I really think this movie was for people like 35 and over when it came to some of the "inside jokes." A guy would have a better time with "Catch and Release" because it had more "guy humor" in it including the guy that played "Silent Bob" in "JAY AND SILENT BOB STRIKE BACK," "CLERKS," "CLERKS 2" and 'DOGMA."

Let me tell you that once you start to explore the gay community in depth you will find more people who are involved in these things than you ever dreamed. Seriously. When I was younger I was a lot like you. Most all of my friends were straight, and I only knew a few gay people. They were kind of fun, but I just wasn't part of a scene or anything. As my gay life developed over the years I found myself being drawn more and more into it and now nearly every friend I have is gay (though I still have my straight friends, but I've moved to a different city since then), and I lack for nothing in entertainment. I have friends who are into the music scene, the movie thing, the art thing, the drag thing, the church thing, the club dancing thing, the camping thing, the social justic thing, all over the map really. In time you'll find your people in the gay world. See if you can locate a gay community center in your area, or a local gay news site. Heck, just go through the Yahoo groups lists and you'll find more queer people than you've ever dreamed of. Happy hunting. ;)

I saw the movie with my boyfriend. I had to DRAG him to come with me, but he ended up really liking it, he admitted that it was a lot funnier and better than he thought it was going to be. That is a big compliment coming from him, since he HATES chick flicks and only came with me to this one because it was V-Day. He normally only listens to emo and alt-rock, but the super catchy songs in the movie got stuck in his head and he sung them with me all the way home! :)

I think it depends on the guy, but if he has a good sense of humor and isn't expecting an Oscar-worthy movie, I'd say go ahead and ask him, he will like it more than he thinks.

This movie is great for girls but guys... not so much. I'm mean it's funny and everything but it's still a chick flick. I don't know too many guys who would be willing to watch. It's that whole test of their manhood thing. I don't really understand it, but there it is.

My boyfriend was not too excited about MUSIC & LYRICS. He didn't barf or walk out during the film but he found it pretty boring.

About the only time he perked up was when they had the semi naked dancers prancing around.

Yeah l think so.

But usually girls like that kind of movie.

Romantic, comic and musical.
It depends in the atmosphere.

It's a movie definitely targeted for girls, so i don't know, he'd have to be a open-mind guy....

I didn't like it and neither did my boyfriend. I'd suggest y'all see a different movie.
