You can download some songs from Myspace. Go into the music section, search for the band you want, and there's the option to download. Not all will let you, best to go to the unofficial band pages.

I've started creating playlists on Finetune.com, you can't download the music but you can create a playlist of whatever you want - they have pretty much anything you can think of.
