All tv's are able to "play" (display) output from DVD players. There are also digital, plasma, lcd flat screen sets with built-in DVD players, which is what I think you want.

As for "aerials" - or the old fashioned antennae strapped to your chimney, no, you don't need one, but you have to have some way of getting the tv signal to the tv, such as a cable or satellite system.

I suppose if those alternatives are not available in your area, you may find an indoor "aerial" that can be placed on your tv or somewhere in your home.

All televisions require an aerial, otherwise they cannot receive any broadcasts...
